Black Flag

At the conclusion to last night Saints game the climax was affected by the refs who seem to have a totals disregard for the Saints fans that love our team and the Superdome's home field advantage. When the officials make calls inside of the two minute warning there should be more descresion on behalf  of the league officials about who's making those decisions especially in the closing moments of really close game. My reason for concern is because of the labor dispute between the NFL and the officiating staff. I know that last night game was only a pre season exhibition contest; my concern stems from the officials tradition of giving the New Orleans club the short end of the stick during key possessions. When the best team in the league offensively is taken out of the game by the opposition and the officials in the same contest there should be alarms going off all around the league. For example the call all but secured the win for the Jaguars. Lets examine the officials use of their yellow flags in the closing seconds of a two hour long contest. Let's get that contract with the real refs done soon. That call late in last nights game is the main reason for my call to arms to the commish to bring integrity back to the NFL. While key Saints players like Vilma loose game checks for playing football the officials miss calls every contest. Unacceptable!
