Bless You Boys Secure a Playoff Spot

I watched as the new Orleans Saints played to the level of the completion when they squared off in late season regular season contest against the franchise formerly of Houston that now calls the Volunteer state home.  The refs where tossing yellow towels all over the natural grass surface making the game at least for the first two quarters an ugly exhibit of what should have been a beautiful game featuring a solid defense against an offensive a powerhouse hitting on all cylinders rounding into championship form. Usually a great team's offense this late in the season is difficult to stop. I find myself wondering how many injuries the Tennessee Titans defense has had to rehab this season as the halftime period is about to begin. I have an idea that Sean Payton is going to make some halftime adjustments to take advantage of the defense's aggressiveness. My awareness of the halftime adjustments Sean Payton are notorious for made an appearance in the second half. Indeed the second half adjustments where enough for the Saints to pull away late in the game with a lead that forced the Titan to score a touchdown on their final drive. Although the Tennessee rookie signal caller was able to drive the ball deep into New Orleans territory their attempts to steal the win from the heavily favored Who Dats came up a few yards short as the quarterback was  forced to take a sack only six yards from the end zone as time expired. The win clinches a playoff position for the Saints who's only remaining goal of the regular season will be to secure home field advantage and possibly a first game bye in the opening weekend of the playoffs. The other NFC teams will have to be aware of this year's Saints ball club and their potential to challenge for the coveted Lombardi trophy.
